On February 12th the NSFDA held a free webinar where two CEUs were available. They are also sponsoring a symposium in May where six CEUs will be available, and they host students from the local mortuary school that also has a job fair component. Last but not least, current NSFDA President Ken Lysak’s term is ending, and a new President will be elected in May. Next in line is the Vice-President Melissa Schmidt who has a very strong social media following as “The Funeral Babe” with close to one million followers on TikTok. She is not a fan of corporate funeral service and if elected this should be interesting to see how it impacts NSFDA’s future.
