- Do you have copies of the GPL by the funeral home door, on the receptionist’s desk, and in the arrangement conference room? IF NOT, PUT A STACK OF GPLs IN EACH ROOM RIGHT NOW.
- As soon as a shopper enters the funeral home to inquire about funeral goods or services – HAND THE SHOPPER A GPL.
- If you encounter a family member during a removal and the individual ask about funeral arrangements – HAND HIM OR HER A GENERAL PRICE LIST.
- Before seating a family in an arrangement office that contains casket or vault displays or pictures of caskets or vaults featured in your packages – HAND THEM THE CASKET PRICE LIST AND/OR OUTER BURIAL CONTAINER PRICE LIST.
- Before you discuss funeral goods and services with a family at the arrangement conference – HAND THEM A GENERAL PRICE LIST.
- Before any shopper enters the casket display room – HAND HIM OR HER A CASKET PRICE LIST.
- Before any shopper is shown a display of vaults – HAND HIM OR HER AN OUTER BURIAL CONTAINER PRICE LIST.
- Every shopper and every family who makes funeral arrangements with the funeral home – SHOULD LEAVE THE FUNERAL HOME WITH A COPY OF THE GENERAL PRICE LIST.
- Every family that makes a preneed or at-need purchase of funeral goods and services – SHOULD BE HANDED A COMPLETED COPY OF THE STATEMENT OF FUNERAL GOODS AND SERVICES SELECTED.
- If there is any question about whether you need to give a price list to an individual – HAND IT OUT.
