Long Island’s most successful Funeral Service Center is looking for Licensed Directors, Registered Residents and Students looking to begin their Residency, interested in expanding their knowledge of the Funeral Profession. Our high volume business model will provide a wide experience in all facets of funeral service. We specialize in shipping/repatriation of remains to and from other countries; high profile funeral services; all ethnic and religious traditions.
We have a 95 year history of dealing with all facets of Funeral Directing.
Responsibilities include: Transport, preparation and presentation of families’ loved ones; securing of authorizations and permissions for both local and international disposition (dealing with family members, consulates, government entities, airlines and other funeral service providers within and outside the US). Attending to families inquiries and needs from first-call through arrangements, services and disposition and after-care (relative to licensure level). Laying out remains and setting up chapels for viewings and visitation, greeting visitors for services, assisting with documentations and translations, light maintenance. Licensed Director or Registered Resident duties also include, delivering and receiving remains at airports, securing consular documents, directing services both locally and other areas, laying out remains in churches and supervising services off premises. Government, contract and guardianship experience will be acquired. Long distant arrangements and PrePlanning. Be prepared for the rapidly changing face of funeral service with a market innovator.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and load remains, caskets and airtrays
- Clean driver's license required
- Spanish speaking a definite plus
- Ability to flexibly schedule (nights, weekends)
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Assisting with web and social media a plus
