Tuesday is All About Students
Join us Tuesday, August 18 for the Trade Show, an educational session specifically for you, and a student meet-up. Registration is open - and free - for student members. Register today.
Here's what we have planned:
- Transportation is on us! We know it can be a challenge to get to Convention, so we're providing transportation to Saratoga Springs for all student members enrolled in any of the four NYS mortuary science schools.
- The bus will depart from the AAMI campus (Manhattan).
- Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- To reserve transportation you will be required to pay a $25 refundable deposit*.
- Or, if you're traveling from a different part of the state, you may qualify for mileage reimbursement.

- Access to one of the industry's largest trade show floors. Take some time to navigate our trade show featuring 75+ vendors. Visit the NYSFDA Bridge Commission Booth where member Funeral Directors will be available to answer questions and help facilitate connections. Plus, while you're engaging with seasoned professionals, enjoy some Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
- Student-only session with modern embalmer and restorative arts guru Dominick Astorino. During this private “no judgement” session, Dominick will address the most common prep room struggles of new embalmers including the proper selection and use of chemicals, strategies for injection and drainage methods, autopsy embalming, color correction, and trauma restoration.
- Student meet-up before heading home. A final opportunity to connect with your peers and licensed Funeral Directors in a casual setting. We'll answer questions, share information, and provide a final snack before you leave.
* You will receive the refund after checking in at the Convention on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. If you do not cancel transportation registration at least one (1) week prior to the event, your deposit will be forfeited.
