ALBANY, NY – The New York State Funeral Directors Association has made an on-demand Webinar available to help funeral homes and other small businesses comply with the New York State requirement for Sexual Harassment Policy Training.

Registration is required for the training, which costs $75.

The 55-minute course, presented by NYSFDA Executive Director Michael A. Lanotte, outlines what is considered sexual harassment, what do when confronted with sexual harassment and the resources available for employers and employees.

Participants will also learn how to draft a policy that complies with the law.

This webinar satisfies the broad New York State requirements for Sexual Harassment training.

Following the training, employers will be responsible for training their employees on their specific business policy.

This course can be accessed on a computer or mobile device with high speed internet (iPhones require iOS 10 or higher). Recommended browsers are Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

About the Presenter:

Michael A. Lanotte is the Executive Director for the NYS Funeral Directors Association. In this capacity, Mike serves in various roles within the organization including President of Funeral Director Support Services, Inc., which administers PrePlan, President of Directors Choice Credit Union and President of the New York State Tribute Foundation. Prior to joining NYSFDA in June 2016, Mike spent 23 years at the New York Credit Union Association where he served as Senior Vice President of Association Services & General Counsel. In that role, he was responsible for the day to day operations of the association and the New York Credit Union Foundation. Mike received his Juris Doctorate degree from Albany Law School of Union University after graduating cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, NY.
