Who was she you ask? Florence earned her place in history as the world's last known veteran of World War I.

June 15 marks the 110th Anniversary of the General Slocum Disaster. More than 1,000 people - mainly women and children - died after the ship caught fire.

New Classrooms, Chapel for Funeral Service Students At NY College

More than 30 aspiring funeral directors started their 2014 funeral service studies in newly-renovated classrooms at the State University of New York College of Technology at Canton.

Upgrades are part of a $6.77 million overhaul of Cook Hall, with Funeral Services Administration students benefiting from roughly $580,000 of the renovations, according to college spokesman Greg Kie.
